Stress can be the result of many repeated cycles in one's life or lifestyle pattern and can affect individuals differently. It is a response mechanism to the circumstances and situations around you, the way you perceive them. The situations or occurrences that bring about stress, make some functions in the body turn off because they are not needed in the fight or flight responses. Other functions, however, are activated almost higher than normal levels.
